Current Body Care Routine

28 Jun

I was taking the ferry on my own from TST to Central and suddenly had this new idea for my upcoming blog post. Completely random thought but I guess it was because I had been to 3 different beauty stores and bought some body products and thought I could do a post about my current body care routine.

The product that I use almost every day is my St. Ives body moisturizer. I think this is my 2nd bottle. I have tried other body moisturizer from St. Ives, but I still like the Oatmeal & Shea Butter one more. I remember one of my friends said she doesn’t like the scent, but for some reasons, I really like it, and find it very comforting. It’s moisturizing but not heavy, your skin just immediately absorb the body moisturizer and won’t feel sticky at all. My skin feels silky after using it, and I think the effect is pretty long-lasting. I have been using St. Ives’ products since high school, and I actually like this drugstore brand; I have used their facial scrub, facial cleanser, body lotion and body scrub, and love everything, except once, the collagen elastin body lotion which smells super bad. Although I might be trying out other brands after using up this bottle, it’s definitely on my all-time favourite list!

I use a body scrub once a week, and my skin does become softer and smooth. In my previous “Empties #1”  blog post, you might have seen me talking about my favourite body scurb, which is also from St. Ives. That was my first one, and my last one. Not that I hate it, I actually love it! Sadly, that body scrub is discontinued, so I just purchased a new body scrub, Palmer’s Cocoa Body Scrub (HKD$68), as I have heard of good things about this brand, and will do a review later.

Some people might not like body oil, as they think it’s very greasy to apply oil on your skin. I originally thought so too, but later realized it’s because I was using the wrong method in the past, and after changing the way how I use it, I like it and use it once a week. I don’t feel like it clogs my pores and it’s not greasy, so definitely keeping it on my regular body care routine.
